All DVD movies are stored in so-called VOB files. Vob files usually contain multiplexed Dolby Digital Audio and MPEG2 video. Vob Files are called as follows: vts_XX_y.vob where XX represents the title and Y the part of the title. There can be 99 titles and 10 parts, although VTS_XX_0.VOB does never contain any video, usually just menu or navigational information.There's a way to find out which files contain the main movie The main movie is the largest number of consecutively numbered VOB files. For instance it's vts_05_1.vob, vts_05_2.vob.... vts_05_8.vob (I haven't seen movies with 9 partial files but that doesn't mean that they don't exist) |

Guide:
1. Click "VOB FILE" button from the main interface, and navigate through your harddrive or drive to load a VOB file that you wish convert.
2. Now depending on where you like, you have to select the right Video Standard for your video Player. As most VOB files are of high video quality and resolution, i recommend to select '(To AVI)'
3. Click on "To AVI" button and open the AVI Encoder Setting. select video codec as "XviD codec " , if XviD is found on your system, You can choose the XviD video codec and Lame audio codec from the drop-down list.,the higher resolution the bigger file size. Also you can download XviD codec from the following link http://www.dvdzip.org/download/XviDCodec.exe Note: Expand the avi settings panel, click the "Pass1 Config"button to bring up the xvid advanced settings.
4.When all options are set as you wanted, just click on "go" button to start converting vob file. Video conversion is really a long time job, the conversion could be 2-3 hours, or 10-20 hours, depending on your system specifications. However with the automatic shutdown feature(press 'OPTION' button), you can just go to sleep, let your computer do all the work and automatically shutdown your PC when everything is finished.
